Why Do I Blog About Fish
OMG, I’ve been tagged, blog tag that is! Rick Cockrum has tagged me, and I’m surprise he tagged me here instead of there.
This time the tag theme is about getting bloggers to share their views on why they choose to blog about it. As I read through the posts of those bloggers who had been tagged, I notice quite a few similarities. And I am no exception. However, for this fish blog there is one distinctive difference.
Why Do I Blog?
To Challenge: For me to talk about fish was like getting a child to eat her greens. I didn’t hate fish; it was a childhood hobby that didn’t require much of my care. Before you throw flakes at me, let me explain. Being a spoilt child and pampered baby sister to Anthony—avid aquarist—he was entrusted the role of fish keeping in our home. I used to show off “my” priced possessions to my school friends, boosting about my ability to rear them in such great condition. Of course, this was done behind Anthony’s.
As we grew older, moved to our own separate homes (3 thousands miles apart), I no longer have that privilege of a carefree fish hobbyist, that’s if I want to continue enjoying the health benefits of watching fish swimming in my home aquarium. Long story short, when Anthony knew I wanted to start rearing fish again, he mocked “What do you know about fish?”
That ticked me off! “Give me a year or two, and I will prove to you that I can be as good as you are.” I rebutted. Now this brings me to the next reason on why I blog about fish.
To Learn: I’m a hands-on girl and also I learn best when I share and teach. By blogging, it gives me an avenue to want to learn more about fish before hitting publish. It also leads me wanting to connect with like-minded people and check out their great posts/articles.
To Connect: Just as children make friends easily and readily in the playground, blogsphere is bloggers’ playground where friendships are made ever so effortlessly especially when we share similar passions and goals.
To Profit: To earn obscene money through blogging about fish is not my number one goal, however I won’t stave off from making some pocket change during my blogging journey. The real money or my motivation for blogging here is from Anthony. He will quadruple what I make on this blog until I hit our “agreement” limit. I’m a feisty girl, how can I pass this “money making opportunity?”
Since I’m being tagged on a pet blog, I will tag my pet blogger friends—Jan, Hope, Christie, Whitney, and Steve. So Tell me Why Do You Blog?

You’ve got to be the only person in the world who got their brother to pay them to blog!
Thank you, and good blogging.
