Burying my Goldfish

Elaine, my childhood friend, used to make fun of my one-fin goldfish (my first pet fish). And when she found out the death of my beloved goldfish, she tried to console me but I was beyond consolable. And to make up all those mean things she said, she offered a tiny plot of her garden earth to bury my goldfish.

I thought it was very noble of her to do so since she had never like my goldfish from the beginning. Days later, I found out that she didn’t offer it out of goodwill. She did it because my brother told her that my goldfish would come back to haunt her for all the mean remarks she made about my goldfish. Only through offerings would she be free from “harassment”.

Fast forward to present day. When Elaine sent me this funny picture, it bought back those funny memories of our childhood.
