I have leeches in my pond. I have very large Koi. What is the best method to get rid of these without hurting my large snails(fist size), fish and plants? Is salt they way to go?

It's possible, but that depends on the size and temperature of your tank. Whether how far is the container away from the filter and light (if any). All these do affect the rate of dissolution of the salt. I believe you already know the answer.

Hope this helps!

Can we put aquarium salt in a container with holes in the lid so the salt can dissolve on its own over time? My dad saw this at the different aquarium stores and thought it would be a good idea for him to do. I think he should just add it regularly on a weekly basis. Can you help?
